William Newberry

Copper & red hair has become not only my passion, but my specialty. Often referred to as the "Copper King" I decided to take on the moniker as my own. After spending many years trying to find the right path to take I finally found my purpose.

Spending enough time in college majoring in Medical Phycology, I came to the conclusion that to ensure every day was exciting I needed to follow my gut and dive into my artistic side. Which is hair. Ever since I was a child I knew this was my path so I went for it!! In late 2016 I started at the Aveda Institute in Winter Park, FL.

After graduating in late 2017 I found my way through a few salons before finding theory salon. this is where I truly found my footing as a stylist and how I wanted to express my vision. I have many things I’m passionate about such as sustainability/ healing the earth, wandering the mystic plane, expressing myself artistically, helping others feel and look amazing, and having full control over my life. I’m lucky my job can intersect all of those pathways. I can show up to work every single day and not only love the art I produce, but be proud I’m also making the world a better place to live while I do it. One way i'm able to do this is by carrying Davines products. Their goal as a B-Corp company is to use their power and influence to make the world a better place for the people, the planet, and community.

Every single day I experience new people, learn something new about hair, about myself, and fall deeper in love with my craft. My love for hair is personified through my copper & red creations. And I get to bring those creations to life using Wella Color, a brand that I’m partnered with! Working closely with Wella as a brand ambassador I’m able to always bring the most exciting and cutting edge technology to my clients and their hair!

After spending time focusing on copper & red hair I realized that this subsection in the hair industry is one of the most under served next to curly and textured hair. So I decided to create “The Copper Community”. An outlet for stylists who want to elevate their education and understand how to approach and execute their copper & red clients to perfection!!

I’m always so excited to help someone learn something new about my speciality or collaborate with my clients to give them the warm hair of their dreams. I always ensure to bring my very best to the table by continuing my education, elevating my guests visits to the salon in every way I can, and showing up for myself in my career every single day. I cant wait to meet every single person who wants to be a part of the copper & red movement and help you level up your lives!
