Summer J Beauty

Licensed Cosmetologist, Mentor and Advisor, Summer J, studied at the David Pressley School of Cosmetology in Royal Oak, Michigan. Determined to be a top and sought after Cosmetologist, she took various other classes outside of her license, including her studies with the program, Career to Calling with Bianca Ariel, allowing her to increase her skill set while gaining valuable knowledge of the business side of beauty. With her forever growing wealth of knowledge, she went on to become the co- owner of a salon in Ferndale, Michigan, that has been going strong in the Detroit suburb for over 10 years now.

After relocating to Houston, Texas in 2018, Summer began working from scratch, building up her client list. In under two years, that list was filled with eager clientele, as the vision of her career began to expand. Following this vision, and still practicing cosmetology, it is her mission to bring back the credibility of black owned salons. Focused on the health and integrity of her client's natural hair, she offers not only professional service and a fun atmosphere, but also the opportunity to let her positively transform the way they feel about themselves, inside and out.

Alongside this, Summer is preparing to also serve as a Beauty Consultant. Knowing that working in the beauty industry is far more than what it seems, she plans to guide others in their journey after earning their cosmetology license. As a mentor and advisor, committed and focused on an unbreakable hard work ethic, it is her hope that she can help them to gain the crucial knowledge needed to succeed in the industry, while also building, relocating or restructuring their beauty business. While continuing this, Summer looks forward to extending her passion for helping others by volunteering with her community's youth population as they set out to start their career. In the meantime, she loves taking part in social gatherings, meeting new people and making new memories. She is also enjoys to traveling, listening to music, and above it all, dancing.
