About
I've been fortunate to turn a longtime hobby of mine into a wonderful career. I spent many years as an educator teaching cutting and styling on stages and in salons across the US. I specialize in razor cuts, curly hair, classic cuts for men and creative color. Outside of the salon I am known for editorial styles. I love contributing to the beauty industry. I would not trade my journey as a stylist for anything. All of the people I have met behind the chair and through collaborations is priceless. I am not young, and I am not a city girl, but this near suburbs 63 year old chick has followed Dottie through many of her transitions, as she has followed me through mine. She took me from an overcolored damaged dry mess to a healthier state of hair, then took me through an illness with hair loss, now taking me into the greys, all the while working with and affirming and accentuating the natural gifts I have and making me feel positive about myself. Dottie studies your hair and asks about your lifestyle, thus working with you to find a great look that makes sense for you. She's open to experimenting but never pushes out of your comfort zone. She is the most intuitive stylist I have ever met. She's amazing with curly hair, and she is so calm and takes so much time when you're in that it truly feels like a spa experience, not just a hair experience. Can't say enough about her, I'm grateful and wishing her all the best in this new spot. OF COURSE I'M FOLLOWING HER AGAIN!
